How HealthiLifer Powdered MushroomIP came to be

Good reasons

After many years of eating meat and fish, our founder came to the health and spiritual realization that he must now avoid meat and fish. And, in addition, encourage others to do the same. The year was 2001 AD (9-01 MSD).

Avoiding meat and fish is very difficult because we have all come to love the great taste of meat and fish. Regardless of the difficulty, our founder knew he must. But to encourage others to do same was an almost impossible task, given that there is no easy alternative to the great flavor of meat and fish.

Since he must accomplish the task, beginning with himself, our founder considered several alternatives. These alternatives included dried yeast, soy sauce, and flavored dry peppers.

But the flavors delivered by such products were neither sufficiently exact nor were they strong enough. In addition, soy sauce added too much salt, which is a health problem for many; and flavored dry peppers added too much heat.

Mushrooms

Our founder next looked into mushrooms. There are very many kinds of edible mushrooms, each with its distinct flavor. The flavor could be right, if the right mushroom could be found.

After a period of searching, he found the right mushroom but, as a group, mushrooms are too expensive. And, if fresh, they require refrigeration. Dried mushrooms would not require refrigeration, but they are fragile and, therefore, still require special handling. In addition, the dried mushrooms he found were still too expensive, and the flavors were not quite right.

He then searched far and wide for a dried mushroom, with the right flavor, one that would also come in single-use packaging. Such packaging would make the dried mushroom hygienic, economical, and easy to use.

Surprisingly, the single-use brands he found were of very poor quality: they contained too much debris, such as rocks, leaves, sticks, etc., and would thus require tedious cleaning before use.

A New Product

Since no mushroom brand met his stringent requirements, he decided to seek out mushroom growers and develop a new product. The new product must be (1) Free of debris, (2) Require no special handling, (3) Be easy to use, (4) Have the right flavor, and (5) Be affordable.
